Isn’t the book magical though like it can’t be destroyed. Or am I remembering it wrong? Wouldn’t that raise at least some questions? You’re right to say that the king wouldn’t believe in its contents simply because they weren’t true and weren’t going to be true. It’s a fake book why would he believe it. I still find it a little bizzare that Phil decided to believe them 100% even though a lot of what was said in the book was proven false but I can give her a pass bc she was initially 9
Yea youre right, they'll probably at least investigate if they see the book wasn't burning or keeps coming back to her, but also she was already scarred that nobody believed her the times she warned them about the future, so her age was a big factor. Also iirc she's an actual kid, not a I went back in time or swapped souls
I mean for me personally, I don't believe he would have punished her. I think it also depends around what period of her telling him when she was 9. If it was before she got sick cause of the rain from the festival he likely would have ignored her and not really believe what she said, but after that when she makes the tea for his hangover and they go for a walk and run into Eustis cousin or sister and her kids, I feel he'd be skeptical but would look into it

Honestly if MC had told the emperor when she was 9, I doubt he would have believed it. He may have even punished her…
