Why did her apparent power to cause pain get used twice and then dropped? What happened to her ninja guard? How did she ever get kidnapped in the first place!? She has had the power to cripple Hime during any of their face to face encounters, and the personnel backing to make that witch disappear The main villain should’ve been defeated by now. Secondary villain arcs, political intrigue, and post-war rebuilding (in addition to romance between our lovely main couple) could all still be explored while Hime rots in a cell somewhere
All that said, I only have so many complaints because I like this story enough to care lol
