Dominant alphas control their fertility. If Chase doesn't want Josh to get pregnant, he won't (plus, he isn't really thinking about it bc he thinks Josh is a beta) !! The only reason Josh got pregnant before was because Chase was in rut and wasn't thinking clearly.
Kind of like what happened in Kiss Me Liar when Keith was in rut and got Yeonwoo pregnant? Honestly the science of dominant alphas in this entire book series is sort of baffling haha
Extreme Dominant Alpha can control fertilization. Since Chase thought that Josh is a Beta he doesn’t have any single will to make him pregnant.
Unless an extreme dominant alpha is in rut pregnancy is guaranteed. They can’t control the fertilization when they are in rut that’s why people kidnap them and make them go in rut to have active sperm cell that can guarantee conception.
You’ll get this explanation if you read all most all of Zig’s novel. There are a lot of complexities in Zig’s omegaverse traits so I suggest to read all of the novels.
