Agreed and I also understand that they want to remake this and turn them into adult manhwa but it feels unnecessary to skip too many parts of it? Since although not to a point but they did something similar to sleeping together multiple time in the novel. It balances out the story i think? Now they just feels awkward with a twink in it. Regrettably. Also much to what you said I really like mc in the novel because he did sacrifice a lot and it’s awesome to have seen his character development in it but in the manhwa well..
The art is beautiful but this adaptation feels like just a summary of the novel plot. So much of the story has been cut out, and imo it's to the detriment of the mc and the reader experience. The emotional highs and lows don't hit as hard if all of the reasons for them are cut out. Part of what makes this story so enjoyable for me is that the mc is part of the weakest species, and yet his emotional and tactical intelligence make him a force to be reckoned with. All of the moments demonstrating the mc's strengths, and even the great banter and dynamics he has with his people, have all been removed. It feels rushed and scenes that have huge emotional impact in the story feel like they don't matter at all. If this story interests you at all, I'd say read this in addition to the novel.
