And its like a cycle. The authors make it(sometimes the production house wants the authors to make rapey stories) and the production house promotes it, readers consume it and make it a hit then the production house thinks "the masses like it so we'll make more".
This chain gotta break. ASAP!! I know for a fact that this is trope popular in straight and yuri stories too. But also I glad that I can see so many people talking about it nowadays.
Also also i came here after reading the authors another work "take your time" and i kid you not the seme there was a pure angel and the uke too had a good character. Ive seen this work before and im sure that I dropped it then bc of its plot but coming back to it after reading the other one is giving me complicated feelings...
every time yo, every fucking time without fail, an author butchers their story cause they wanna have their characters commit crimes. like wtf was their thought process when they was writing this? “hmmmm, i really feel like this is missing something. ooh, i know! what if my character was a rapist” WHO LET YOU COOK?! and why did they let you into the kitchen in the first place? you need to be fucking banned. you telling me absolutely NOBODY objected to this trash? place the whole team on trial yo. put the stylus down and never bake up some horse shit like this ever again. like who is this slow? half of bl authors apparently (all shade) shit like this just makes me wonder what they think of gay people and their relationships. there’s no fucking way they think it’s just men assaulting other men and if it is then DEATH AGAIN you absolute weirdos
