I feel so bad for Hydra, to wholeheartedly trust a human, something so taboo just because she wanted to be loved. Only to be betrayed by her, I really dislike bloody eye but I do understand her and everyone. The ending was so nice, it was quick sure but everyone received an ending. I'm so happy about Maria and Mary THEY MAKE ME SOO SADToT you can see just how much the both of them trusts each other and loves each other. Mary and "Mary" too, familial love is often so badly written in media, but seriously for Mary to have sacrificed everything for Bloody without bloody having realised it thus making him endlessly suicidal only for the ending to be revealed as Mary keeping him alive, he so desperately wanted Bloody to live. The author really knows how to write familial relationships im so FREKAING SAD
AND I WILL GO ON ABOUT MARIA AND MARYS RELATIONSHIP. The parallels they had with each other, wanting to both die (well Maria not really) because they blamed themselves for having been involved with a loved one's murder, only to find out in the end, that person only wanted them to live on and on. they're so different yet in the end their struggles were the same, both needed a purpose to keep going. Maria finally realising that he never wanted Mary to die, finally realising that he needed Mary despite Mary not being of any use for him was seriously the best because at the start that was all Mary was to him, he bossed him around, didn't care when he got sick. AHHHH so i'm so so so happy with the ending im genuinely so in love. Also I dunno if it's noticeable but the author also keeps making parallels between maria's grandfather and the girl he loves and maria's dad and maria's mother and maria and mary LMAO. especially in that one title panel?? you see all six of them propped up together hahahhaha like ok should've just made this shonen ai X3
