Exactly this, for me 2 last chapters already were like ooc, totally as if detached from the rest of the series, MC kissing his ex out of 'guilt' clearly just for ML to see (hard to even call it makes sense), MC saying that sex friend forced him to that, ML saying that all MC wants is sex and.... raping him? Like... It's as if the author got the series mixed up and added a script from something else, it was so stupid and disrespectful towards readers, seriously, and I'm pissed because in majority ongoing currently series we have rape pushed as a plot device without any sense, I'm just tired at this point
So.. is the author ok? I know we see r*pe casually thrown in almost every story nowadays, but it feels specially bad when they put it randomly and completely out of character like that. It always gets me so off guard. So what now? Are we gonna gloss over it as it this is something you can just apologize and move on from? I don't get it. I know stories must have conflict to develop the plot but bro.. conflicts have to be solvable, and r*pe is unforgivable and inexcusable. It pisses me off. I couldn't get this s01 finale out of my head so I had to come back and write this lol
