That’s just how he likes it but we can’t do anything other than to accept he always had no interest to be someone so highly. For a human like us, either to be only dreaming of becoming so powerful or be afraid of what that meant. The lifestyle isn’t it, too much. We can’t comprehend that exact weight of it. Nevertheless from the start until the end he wasn’t exactly a bystander. Everything was just right and I am very happy to read a story where the character’s wants aren’t violated even if the reasoning was for the plot
but i finding it more satisfying if he could get all his demon power back, making him with so much aura early chapter and turn him into a useless man just not it (=・ω・=)
