Riftan is flawed, but he loves her so fiercely. He believes she deserves the world on a silver platter, and thinks of himself as incapable of delivering anything close to that. Likewise, she loves him so much she believes he deserves better, unable to recognize her own worth. These are two lonely, wounded hearts that found each other. The both of them have grown so much, and clearly, there's more to do, but they'll get there.
