Damn I thought that I was going to be reading another volume of some normal workplace romance, but instead went through an emotional rollercoaster witnessing Yuto's origins.
I personally had an upbringing quite similar to Yuto and therefore, also struggle with being anything other than no.1 at my work, to the point that I had to have a very hard conversation with myself when I realized even the thought of coming 2nd gave me an anxiety attack. I def cried a little at the part about Yuto reducing his entire worth to his monthly sales. Reminded me of how it takes building a lot of mental strength to let go of a mentality like that. I'm glad to have come across a manga that addresses a topic like this and happy to see Yuto realising at the end that there's more to life and himself than his insecuritues and work performance.
