I had a very strong second male lead syndrome at the beginning and the moment it became obvious that Ethan was the male lead I became overjoyed. Even at the beginning, I was surprised to see that the author didn't make her to be righteous. Let me explain : she tried to be good by not doing anything that was not expected of her, she didn't follow morals but expectations, and THIS is why this story is so good, because how would she know the difference between goodness and obedience ?

Seeing her evolve throughout the story was not only touching but also realistic. This is a story of redemption, of second chances, and of love. Every romantasy enjoyer should read it ! (Also it kinda is what "I will be the queen in this life" whishes it was imo...)
