Yeah I sometimes skip reading the side couple. Not interested in their personalities or relationship. I couldn't tolerate them in the JPN drama, especially Tsuge.

nah you ain’t wrong, if anything the side couple low-key ruins the vibe and in the drama adaptation they look like dad and son to make matters worse
I usually LOVE side couples and even think they usually turn out to be more interesting that the main couple but this manga is the exception. I legit just skip the parts with the second couple. Idk why they just don’t interest me
