A weak series by the author. They were trying to do 4 plots that need development in 2 volumes, i think if they threw out even just the town is split into two factions aspect it would have left room for better relationship development. Like 3 of his friends get their beaten up and he doesnt even stay mad at the ML for a bit??
And ik this isnt even the real focus but the whole “we’re shutting down a school with better grad rates that also serves the local community in favor of a school that doesnt, and we’re building a resort on its ashes” brought me back to irl mindframes SO fast i couldnt wave off the stuff happening as usual.
