Ik it was hard back then for illegitimate children, but in mangas I noticed they make the kids, servants and kingdom stupid and bullies to the illegitimate child to the point where it gets excessive , Ik it’s not real but if it was we all know that the kids or kingdom would never blame a child that’s like 4-7 years old for the previous empress’s death. I can’t stand these type of tropes bc there’s literally unnecessary angst and drama that feel forced and boring to the point it makes you sleepy.
Like they have no reason to be mean to her, they started bullying her before the empress even died which is the crazy part bc the ml would know seeing as the empress “saved” him, also the dark haired princess played victim as soon as she seen her and the ML immediately sided with her which is stupid bc she was smiling and laughing with him even though her mom just died, idk if it’s just me but the writing is confusing, kinda jumbled and frantic like their looking for places to start conflicts, like when their having dinner it’s just so random.
