no way she’s that dumb homegirl couldn’t even follow what the grandmother told her to do and then she all had that courage spilling everything to the princess, like she of all people should already know how much influence a princess has and how easily she can pull strings behind the scenes.
the author really did a GOOD JOB writing her character because she’s genuinely a piece of work. a lot of very religious people tend to follow their beliefs so strictly that they become close-minded. there’s nothing wrong with being religious, but at the very least we should all share basic morality and kindness. she’s the type of person who has no problem criticizing other people’s beliefs, but the moment someone questions hers, she suddenly acts like everyone else is wrong.
Wha? Did you read the story? She didnt spill anything, the stupid grandma sent the princess’ lover a letter warning him and then HE told the princess. The priestess just had to deal with the blowback.
What the priestess did was actually masterful. There was literally no other way she could have avoided being murdered so decisively. She made a charade and left the main clue on her own body. It’s extremely unlikely anyone could find her will like that.
are you hearing yourself? the grandmother’s will was literally to release all the letters so people would finally know how shady the princess truly is. the priestess already had an inkling that everything was true, and the moment the princess tried to harm her, she confronted her by saying that if she died, everyone would know it was the princess behind it.
that’s exactly why i’m calling her dumb. she already knew how much influence the princess had and how easily she could pull strings behind the scenes, yet she still chose to directly contest her. sure, the princess may not have been able to get rid of her immediately, but she could absolutely go after the people around her instead. that’s the whole point you completely failed to understand.
She was going to release it when the funeral was over, as planned. Had the grandma not warned the guy, none of this would happen.
Afterwards, whatever else Vivia did she would be dead. She had to contest and warn the princess because otherwise she would just… be killed.
Had the princess not known Vivia could still ruin her life the princess would just murder her anyway lmao for fear she would run her mouth. Yes, she’s threatening her family and trying to ruin her reputation but that is certainly miles better than being dead, because there are still countermeasures she can take. So… no. I think I understood the story quite well.
What do you suggest she did?
lmfao, you’re still missing my point. i never said the priestess should’ve just sat there and died. my point is that the way she handled it was reckless because she underestimated just how much damage the princess could still do even without outright killing her.
you keep arguing survival, but survival isn’t automatically “masterful.” she escalated things with someone she already knew was manipulative and powerful enough to ruin lives behind the scenes. yes, exposing the princess gave her leverage, but it also painted a target not only on herself but on everyone connected to her.
that’s why i called her dumb. not because she tried to survive, but because she confronted someone dangerous while acting like the threat stopped at murder. the princess losing the ability to kill her directly doesn’t suddenly mean the priestess won the situation. you didn't understand my point AT ALL
