in chap 24 he tells the kid ur a minor, the kid is like i just turned 18, and then he immediately just got to it with someone he just said was a minor so safe to say he always viewed the kid as desirable but he use his age as the barrier even tho the kid never acted any different and behaved the same so i dunno if i want to proceed with the story this is botherin me
