Probably not what most people want to happen, but... Honestly, I don't mind them spending some time apart. Dan needs to heal and take a breather after everything that went on. JJK also needs time to further self-reflect, grow and also heal from what that ugly cheater did to them (no matter how much of an ahh he was, it's still traumatizing to see your SO on the brink of death and also realizing it's since they're close to you). They can meet afterwards when they're a lot better, calmer and mellowed out. Then they can start again together.
