thank goodness someone said it. he’s just icky.. there’s no warmth to him whatsoever and i get that it’s his character to be rough and tough and hard on her but.. he has legitimately not even a sliver of sympathy for her.
and the sex?? omfg don’t even get me started. it’s so bad it’s not even arousing.. none of it felt .. genuine. he’s upset at her for trying to find her husband because he was the ONE person that she felt loved her yet he can’t wrap his head around the fact that she had never been loved before and it was her first time having that sort of experience. she’s traumatized for God’s sake. He just constantly dogs on her for being ‘pathetically in love’ as if taking advantage of a blind woman and making her dependent on a man that claims to love her and then proceeding to abandon her out of the blue, is something to just ‘get over,’ when ITS NOT?
HE JUST DOESNT CAAARE. Like he is SOOO fucking selfish.
the ONLY time i liked him somewhat, was on the mountain when they both fell down the cliff and had to huddle together.. that’s when i liked his warmth. if ONLY he could behave that way throughout most of the manhwa it would be sooo much more enjoyable.
and don’t even GET ME STARTED on the scene where he’s torturing her. like that was borderline r*pe.. it was NOT hot. it was so disgusting and he’s lowkey just ugly?

CLOCK IT, I literally don’t get the appeal for this man

I'm not going to justify his actions, but explain them a bit. He's not "dogging on her for being pathetically in love". He's trying to get her to let go of her obsession with the character he played as her husband. He doesn't like seeing her that way. It's why he hated his job as her husband: he fell for her while knowing she was only in love with a character he played, not him. Not an issue for a professional honeypot normally, but a big issue for him since he actually fell for her and began viewing himself as her husband. He knows it's not something you just get over, but he's trying really hard to convince her to just move on because he's essentially watching his wife desperately chase after some other guy. The other guy was her husband, but he is also her husband. He'd rather she decide her husband isn't worth so much effort and move on... but not actually move on because he is in love with her and wants to be with her even if he hasn't entirely figured that out himself or how to go about that. When he talks about her husband being a piece of shit and insults him and how terrible a husband he was, he means it. He means it because he is talking about himself, viewing himself still as her husband and a terrible one for doing to her what he did and is continuing to do. He had to do those things because it was his job and he was led to believe doing this was to stop a terrorist (her dad, the terrorist that killed his parents) from striking again. The sex wasn't intended to be good. Even he had a hard time getting hard like that. He was trying to give her the sex she'd asked for so she wouldn't go sleeping with random men for that even if it wasn't an experience he actually wanted to be a part of.
