It's a burn scar from when they were children, ML was kidnapped mistaken for MC by gang from the rapist secretary's father's company, had both his legs broken, and was held captive. When MC came to rescue him, the building was set on fire. (They insisted to kill only ML because he was just mistaken and an useless thing to them, but incompetent one misunderstood and included MC there)
