Other than the disappointing art, I feel like the plot is all over the place...?

cause it isn't even following the original novels pacing TT a lot of the scenes have additional content cut out, and the most recent chapter isn't something that happens at all.

Wow that's actually really disappointing. How does the original author feel about this? And if you don't mind, well, if you know, where can I find and read the novel?
