His ulterior motive aside, MC is GREAT at handling the babies. He placated Hyunwoo, diverted his attention, and even made him look forward to performing! Its one thing to calm the kid, and another to still have the kid enjoy.
To the people saying he's overdramatic, that kind of impulse to reach and shield the kid from danger just shows how he actually cares, even if the thing was probably made of cardboard.
