This was beautiful

The story at the start was a bit messy and hard to read but after 30+ ish the story flows better and easier then probably because someone else took charge for the script based on author notes. I hope people don't drop this and read this till the end because it is worth it
THAT ASIDE
The story was full of angst and misunderstandings, it lasts quite long too so you just gotta be patient. But the end makes it all worth it, everything got resolved, the ending is satisfying and the side stories made this story perfect

One thing that makes me unable to drop this despite me usually not capable of reading angsty story is the art. Insane insanely beautiful and consistent throughout the story. The artist is so overwhelmingly underrated

ANYWAY I love Karel he is such a green flag, and his skar persona is sexy as hell. I lowkey miss his cold look but I do love his charming smile. He is the standard for green flag ML fr he legit did everything and anything for Sasya.
As for sasya I get frustrated at him at first especially when Karel rots away in the war but after seeing his pov and how unreliable narrator he is and how mentally unstable he is, I just feel so sad for Sasya. I'm glad he has good people and especially Karel by his side to love him and accepts him as he is. (Lowkey they are made for each other, they have their own issues. Karel with his obsession and sasya with his unstable mental)

THAT ASIDE. THE SIDE STORIES!!!!! Charles is so cute he truly heals me from the angst. And the end where everyone has passed away is making me tear up but it's so bittersweet that Charles names his son after Karel who also is the reincarnation of the Karel himself. He falls for sasya's reincarnation too in the modern world. Their love story never ends. I find it heartwarming too thwy keep the former sasya stuff and portraits. The whip being there is killing me lmao Karel is so obsessed he even treasured the whip. God bless the modern world karel never find out what that stick was used for. Reading the last side story is like discovering your grandparents' amazing story life in war
