To be honest the romance can’t be fixed with Cesar. He sucks. How am I supposed to believe a man who stomped on me and called me trash just 2 months ago?
He didn't say to confess because it's a day of carnivale. Cesare said it best, it's the day where people go trick others, basically like April fools where we go and tell lies. So if he say that he does love her on that day feels like he's tricking and lying to her and he doesn't want that. He was going to tell her the next day so his confession would feel sincere.
Imagine your crush tell you he likes you on April fool. You would probably be like wth, is he lying or for real? So yes I feel for Cesare for this one, but Adele is like us all women, we wanted to be emotional and hear it right there and then
No but he did confess. He could t hold himself back. He kissed her and confessed, and when she cried he was suprised… the entire love story looks like he is making her a joke.
He brought her here just so he wouldn’t have to marry that purple eyed bitch but he could have pulled strings so he wouldn’t have to. He was going to pass off a random commoner to ruin their bloodline as a joke. He doesn’t call her by name anytime he is upset to mock her “shoeshiner”. He doesn’t apologize either. And when he first felt something from her he asked how much would you sell your body for. And when she said she would use it for another man he said never mind.
This was by far the laziest way to do miscommunication I’ve ever seen. Also where the hell did the hickies come from ?? You mean to tell me he would confess any other time but right then and there when she was crying hysterically obviously sad from his comment. BRO she leaned on your kiss she kissed you back how can you think she wouldn’t want you to say you love her. The second ML is by far so much better because the bar is so in HELL we should be grateful he doesn’t take advantage of her…and I just know in the end she will choose the worst option. This story had a good premise and wanted to talk about some interesting themes but had to ruin it with this bullshit of a romance that wants to be angsty but it can get resolved under 2 seconds ughhh free meeee
