Prob because in Japan it’s fine to marry ur cousin but in the first chap, remilia mentions that the brother loves emi, and then during the whole backstory after the reveal the brother supported pins cuz he wanted emi to fall on hard times and then save her. Because in a twisted way that’s exactly what happened to him and that’s how he fell in love with her so he wanted to uno reverse it. This manga has so many levels to it it’s soo good ohmygahhh ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ
The story was fucking amazing and would have still been satisfying if Remi didn’t feel the need to “wear a mask” of Emi’s Remi. But that is who Remilia’s character is and she worked towards getting what she wanted in the end. I do think the part with the brother being in love with her was a really strange motive for why he never stepped in to help tho, it felt like unnecessary siscon especially given the fact that his character wasn’t mentioned too much in the story. I think other than that the story was perfect. 10/10 read
