I wouldn't know, all the bls I've read are mostly consensual but have at most dubcon TT The moment I see SA or rape in the comments or reviews, I'm out (unless the ML because didn't do it then I'll give it a chance to see if it's being portrayed properly). You have to find the good ones, which usually means starting with longer BL manga like Sasaki to Miyano, I cannot reach you, etc. Shounen ai manhwas/manhuas are also a great place to find genuinely well-written ones.
As an example, I read Asterism recently, and it did a great job of portraying well-written characters and how harmful societal homophobia is... These stories are important because there's value in portraying the society around us through the lenses of queer people...
So yeah there are plenty of amazing BLs out there that tackle tough topics, which is why I personally love them! Going through popular r19 works is honestly terrible because you can never find anything good sighsigh BUT there's a ton of good ones out there that don't cater to people who just want straight porn.............................................
ur right but there’s always some good bls that u can find, i think almost every popular bls are full of rape/sa but if u take the time to find some good niche ones, you’ll stumble on peak

why does people love bl's so much when almost ALL the bl's i found are rape slop? and ALMOST half of them are popular.
