He was probably in the middle of tracking something when dumbass jumped in, hence the “don’t move.” Heard my dad say it plenty of times in the woods growing up.
Unfortunately, the less you say (don’t move, don’t speak, don’t look, run) the more inclined people are to do the opposite for some reason.
