Frr, not saying that he’s a good guy, obviously he's doing bad shit, but what really ticks me off is how the slave character becomes the villain, after experiencing a bunch of shit in his life. I get that we are following Penelope, our protagonist, who we know will have a happy ending, and I love her ofc, but I don’t like that Eclis will have a horrible ending. I just want a decent ending for him is all.
Eclis is the dude who got treated the worst, though he's not free of responsibility for his actions. Let's say that secondary characters here arent treated exactly well.
And sometimes the FL had something to do with it.
