Literally a hidden masterpiece of fiction. The art, the small details, the characters, the story, everything is so well thought and researched. I truly whish i could find more historical mangas like this which isn't just a love, action, fantasy mixed etc story but a story of life and it's ups and downs.
When i read the manga for the first time (which was 5/6 years ago) i didn't like the way Leo and Artes relationship went. However with every chapter and with every development i began to like the relationship more and more. Now at chapter 103 I'm so happy they could (indirectly) tell how they love each other, even though i also liked the mercenary Guido and still wonder how a relationship between those two would look like. I just hope that Leo and Arte find their happiness somehow.
I also like how death is being handeld, of course it's sad and it's kind of depressing to see the usually amused, beautiful and clever veronica in such a state as of the late chapters. Nonetheless it is natural for diseases as bad as shown here (or even worse) to take place. War is not a beautiful thing and brings so much more pain than most think. Well for now we don't know if she will actually die however i think it is most likey. Still i appreciate that death isn't being hidden as it is for how sad it is a natural thing which will always happen.
I could go on for hours how much love i have for this manga within me but i don't think that's important for now. So if anyone is reading this small thought of mine please give this manga a chance and read it.
