I’ve let this story simmer for some time now, so I wouldn’t have to wait for so many chapters. I have no idea how to process what I’ve just read. This is so wonderfully written. THIS is how you write a psychological story with layered characters and depth. I came so close to crying throughout reading this but couldn’t stop. Love how realistic trauma is betrayed and the author didn’t sugarcoat the failure of the many adults in their lives. It’s not a simple “Dohun SA’d him so fuck him he’s a shit character” he’s not a good person and there’s no excusing what dohun did (because trauma doesn’t excuse SA ) but it doesn’t make me NOT hurt for him any less oh my god. There are nuances to things - and his backstory completely reveals a man that never grew up from his childhood trauma. He’s still that baby in that basement ;—;. Yeonwoon ….my god. The author did a good job showcasing his backstory too and I’m just hurting for both them. I’m not picking this back up until it’s done. This story is going to stick with me for a very long time.
