Honest review::

What I really liked about this story was how it didn’t ignore or romanticize the abuse the way many Korean manhwas often do. The MC never simply forgave the ML or buried the past for the sake of romance. Instead, he continuously made the ML confront the reality of his actions — that their relationship began through coercion and assault, not love. That honestly made the story feel far more grounded and emotionally impactful.
What made it even better was that the ML’s redemption arc actually felt earned. Rather than being instantly excused, he gradually came to understand the weight of what he had done and genuinely grew as a character. Noticing how ML doesn't actually know how to behave politely and softly at all with anybody also shows what has years abuse and violence he has suffered through his own father has costed him , I feel bad for his childhood . Imagine how bad it must have been for his mother to leave his father just cuz she couldn't withstand the violence against her child. You could see the author trying to handle the topic with more care and maturity instead of using abuse as just another plot device.
The MC was also genuinely strong , as we can clearly see how he confronts ML about abuse he has suffered head on , which made the emotional tension hit harder ..wish more MC's are like this . And on top of that, the art noticeably improved as the chapters progressed.
Overall, I don’t think it’s a bad story at all. It’s probably not something I’d reread , but I am looking forward to the side stories to see whether the characters continue to grow and what new aspects might be explored further.

    Totally agree! More ppl need to read this. It’s def not the best writing tbh and not for everyone but it’s really not as bad as some people wanna act like it is. The writing is pretty good, and it’s a manga adaptation so I’ve heard it’s a little better in the novel.

    I was feeling the same way. I appreciate the fact that author didn’t romanticise rape and abuse, and tried to portray it in as mature way as possible. Although, the fact that in the end they stayed together left a bitter aftertaste, I feel like it’s in some way realistic. MC spent a lot of time with ML, went through a lot, slowly became dependent on ML and developed positive feelings amidst all the hatred. Which tbh I hate but ig ML did get the redemption arc etc.. idk the plot is heavy
