Tbf he probably has alot of guilt with how he treated Dan and Dan almost lost his life because of jaeks job when you actually think about it, so him saying "I love you." Wouldn't feel genuine at all, thats why he croaked and didnt utter anything, very unfortunate and I hope they reconcile looks like Jaek did some personally growing of his own. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
