    WTF???

    ririiriri May 17, 2026 10:26 am

I think they meant ryder and miria

    Turbo May 17, 2026 11:43 am

Maybe but when the role was first offered, ryder also want the role as Dad. I think people considered ryder a guy because he looks and presented as masculine. And people ship ryder and miria. I don’t think anything is wrong with it. Yes they are both alien with no defining sex or gender, but this will not stop humans. Human see everything as two gender. And ryder presented and look masculine, therefore the “dad” and miria presented and look femme, therefore the “mom”

humans do NOT see everything as "two gender". every single character is mori's mom, dad, sibling, and grandparent. reading a story about how familial bond goes beyond gender conforming roles and placing heteronormative ideals onto them anyway is very telling.

Yes, humans do. We did it instinctively including you and me. I have to think to stop viewing it that way. But humans do subject gender roles to everything including car and color. If you look masculine, you view it as “he.” If you look femm, your brain instinctively associated as “she”

that is something that society had ingrained into us. human societal norms don't exist in this story or setting as they are not on or from earth. no one has concepts of sex or gender except for the humans. this story has directly stated that mori's family is not just made out of a mom or dad. to ignore that and push traditional gendered roles onto characters from a story that was written to avoid exactly that is shallow.

It is not just society but also biology. We can’t help but instinctively associated gender to appearance. Anyway I know what the story is about but you also can’t just fault people for shipping and thinking the way they do. We are not alien without sex or gender! We reproduce, not splinter. Even the author can’t help but put in human touch into the story where it didn’t too. If the author doesn’t want people to ship them, then they shouldn’t bait the shipper with these chapters.

that "instinct" has a direct correlation to societal norms, not biological. you're conflating the two. also note that i've never said anything about shipping ryder and miria?? they're cute. doesn't change the fact they're both mori's mom, dad, grandparents, and siblings.

Biology because baby instinctively knows the mom. But yeah there was one person in this thread who was against the ship for whatever reason, I just assumed you are too. Sorry about that. Then again I also don’t fault people for thinking the way they do at this point.

The human touch we have in the story is because AI is suggesting things to miria, Rider and the bunch what to do in any given situation regarding mori based off of on human civilization history.

??? we're talking about gender roles not babies knowing who their mother is. my comment was never about "faulting" people who want to call ryder papa. at the end of the day insisting on pushing traditional gender norms onto characters from a story that directly challenges that is worth being called out

and they also explicitly question the concept of having two mothers and conclude that there's nothing wrong with it! like it's being hand fed to us atp

The problem is that a lot people insist that he’s the Mama while make Jair out to be the Dad because they’re a bunch of creepy fujoshis, NOT because they understand that the title Mom is simply symbolic of a family who loves and cares for their child.

If people wanna insist that Ryder is a Mom, YES YOU SHOILD! But do it for Jair too, what’s with the weird double standards? Bro wants to be a Mom too!!!

nowhere did i mention jair. and once again i did not mention a ship. i've reiterated so many times in this comment thread that every single alien in the fah clan are mori's mom, dad, sibling, and grandparents simultaneously. i've never even heard of people shipping jair and ryder and it's honestly quite weird you're calling them creepy over something so niche.
