regarding PE maj I think it's also the type of scope sk provides, as in apart from being coaches in schools there is also scope for opening independent sports training centres, coaching national sport teams, personal trainers, even sports/health influencers.
I think it works in SK because there's also some sort of demand for it and the country also continues to invest in the depart of sports
Hence it might not work in some countries like India where there has been negligible investments in sports
Oh that's true, yeah there really are so many differences between countries. I think PE major is pretty rare where I live, or at least people who work in the fields you mentioned would get other kinds of certifications. It's always interesting to notice these types of differences while reading.
I think about the majors in college manhwa sometimes. Is physical education major really a thing?? Is the end goal to be a gym teacher??
Business major is common too, which I guess makes sense since they're never studying.
Aside from One-Room TA, I rarely see STEM majors or any interesting specialized majors in manhwa.
Another thing is how characters with arts majors don't seem worried at all about money. Are they all trust fund babies? Yes I get that manhwa isn't 100% realistic, but in this economy I'd be stresseddd if I were them.
