It wasn't just the soldiers. This type of haircut was popularized by the samurai class but then the common folk also embraced it up until the late 19th century ^^ Tho I do agree that they'd look even hotter than they already do with the rest of the missing hair xD
Honestly? I wanna see them with a fully covered head. Cause if you truly think about it. In ancient history, it was mostly soldiers who shave the top of their head so that the helmet they put on won't produce much heat. So please author. Grant my wish of seeing their head full of long and luscious hairლ(´ڡ`ლ)
