What the hell, how did he convince himself that Nagare "loved" 1st of all. After finding out Nagare didn't "love" him he still somehow believes that everything Nagare did was for his sake , I believe that maybe it did start off like that in the beginning(not even really), but Nagare was definitely doing it to save other people from Okaya.
