To go off of another commenter, the "i would go for you if I was single" followed immediately by "but that's not me anymore bc I have yoshino" feels reasonably safe. He did things in a not so smart manner but he learns and is determined to improve. That's way more than most BL MLs.
Like, I was also worried for a bit but when Rou met Yoshino it was obvious where his heart always was.
Ofc it's scary to date someone who before you was a player and is overall a generally nice guy to everyone,
But it was done really well with communication.
I think you guys also forget that Rou is considerably young but determined to keep Yoshino for life, and Yoshino doesn't have much experience in this area.
I think they communicated the best they could and came to resolutions together well.
