The environment they grew up with and the way they adapt to it makes the story surreal, in a good and bad way, because looking at it, a kid growing up with ab*sive parent may adapt into the situation and have some not so natural way of thinking, which is true to life. Meaning, this story have great impact on readers like me without ragebaiting. The main characters are not perfect yet they seem perfect in my eyes cuz it invoked purely just my emotins, like I don't have to think too much, study about this and that to understand things, because it already explained things to me emotionally.
