I remember this scene pissed me off when I read the novel because Maddie told Yulikian to get their in 10 minutes because its bad to leave children alone for too long. Yet he had the longest ahh conversation with Lambda while Astrid was spiraling with loneliness, like oh my god. Oh, and even when he did get there, he left Astrid alone for a while and went digging on Maddie's background. My god, I think they also had a fight right after, he and Maddie, and that was after a very long day for Maddie. But they did make up at the end, still, I understand why Astrid loved Maddie more
