Human emotions can be so complex, Hyukjoon is a very good example of it. He was torn, but its expected that his hatred won but i actually didn't expect to love Minjae. I couldn’t have expect a better ending than that. A good note to point out was Hyukjoon repeatedly asking Minjae “Are you happy?” and everytime Minjae would answer with a genuine smile on his face, i bet it strengthened his resolved more. Because he himself was not, maybe it was also a question to himself, a reminder, that he can’t rest until he gets his revenge.
Oh and Taehyun, poor him, i love the idea where although he was close to Minjae, it’s as if he was the farthest. Based on what the ending gives off, he can’t do anything, at all. Minjae, is as complex as Hyukjoon, and he’s right we really can’t choose who we love, but he was wrong about one thing. Because we can always choose how to act on it.
