There’s someone at my college whose personality just doesn’t click with me. He’s very loud, attention-grabbing, and uses a lot of exaggerated slang/expressions, which I personally find irritating. The issue isn’t that he’s gay, I’d feel the same way about anyone, regardless of sexuality, who acted that way. But because he’s openly gay, people assume my dislike of his behavior is rooted in homophobia, which isn’t the case. Has anyone else dealt with being misunderstood like this? People at my college have been calling me homophobic im not very good with my words aswell and i dont want to make a mistake when adressing it, if anyone has any advice? idk where to ask this.
