To the people calling the author and readers "disgusting": DID YOU KNOW, a very large number of the people who enjoy reading and writing SA scenes are survivors of SA themselves? It's very common, even if its thinking a story up in their own head. It's a healthy coping mechanism and it's called "reclaiming your narrative". Romantacizing their SA in a safe, fictional world allows them to accept themselves and cope with the common "self-disgust" survivors often have. Psychologically, it's the same technique as someone making jokes about their past traumas. I myself have my own traumas that reading these help with, and someone I'm very close to was victimized 3 times from 3 different monsters between the age of 7 to 16. She wrote a very long trilogy about a woman and her toxic obsessive captor/teacher. Writing that story is what gave her the courage to open up to her supporters and even CONFRONT and CUT TIES with the assaultant that was still in her life. I now hope she never publishes her story, as the many many people calling her "disgusting" will definitely harm her. And I can't beat ALL of them up. You may think you're defending them, and you may be a person who this coping skill triggers, but PLEASE do not make insults based on assumptions. Saying "I don't like it/stopped reading because of the SA scene" is enough. Hell, say you hate SA all you want! However, DON'T insult the readers and writers of it and then give yourself a moral pat on the back, because there's a good chance you're insulting the very people you're trying to defend.

    What SA scene?

    What SA scene? UkeLover69

If you've read it, they are referring to the scene with the handcuff

If you haven't, it's a scene where the bottom has an amnesia triggered flight response and the top is essentially "drugged" and it IS for the plot development.

MOST yaoi I've read have far worse scenes with a lot worse tops, but it still counts as SA so to each their own. Highly underrated cin my opinion because of this scene (but the top 10 list is probably worse)
