ML's big bro forged the marriage license to make ML happy. So when the FL said they were tech. never married and the ML had the paper to prove it; he saw it as her lying trying to make their relationship less special so she can "move on". the issue is that she's trying to hide the even bigger elephant in the room with more lies and ML is figuring it out. slowly.
