are we not reading the mc, vulnerable and barely able to trust others for good reason, living a nightmare or…?
I’m pretty sure it’s some kind of term in literature, not actual porn. It’s when a writer puts a single character through continuous traumatic events sometimes seemingly for no reason. It kinda threw me off when I first heard of it too but yeah search it up i think google will give a better explanation than I did lol
