i wouldnt really call that "love". IMO MC is simply mourning the physical comfort, the routine and the companionship they both used to have. Yknow like having a withdrawal. Their moments were dry. Devoid of any warmth. They eat together but dont even share their meals. They have sex yet face the opposite direction when they sleep. MC doesnt even know he had close friends. It felt like theres always this invisible line dividing them. So I wasnt that sad when they parted. But thats just me. Love manifest in different ways anyway.
