Exactly and not just that, their relationship isn't healthy at all, no one should depend on another person to this extent. Even if they confessed and became lovers it'll be just more pain and toxi, blondie will definitely act overly obsessive and spoiled. Just my opinion but i don't think this is a miscommunication arc. Coming out to someone who called u a faggot quite literally a day before is hard and i don't think the other dudes even realized that he's in love with his "guy" friend.
