yes... the best move should've been agreeing to the contract when he was young, just don't be a jealous btch like the original in the novel and he will be safe and once ml and orig bottom got together, he will leave in peace, but no, he did the stupid thing and run away from an egotistical sadist.

Another reason ML likes MC is probably because he’s nice and can’t leave people in trouble alone. So in a flashback we see MC defending ML from annoying cousin! This is a flag!!! Also if you pity them you just end up under their mercy!!! Which usually happens all the time!!! ML pretends to get hurt and MC can’t help but fall for it!!! Also since MC is sociable has lots of friends and is kinda nosy, he gets ML jealous and more obsessed that he’d want to lock him up!
If it were me in mc’s situation I’d give up!
Cause possessive ML’s don’t like their prey easily served to them on a dish… that’s why our mc who is still planning his escape, is more tempting. Later when he runs and gets caught by ML he’s gonna be even tastier to eat! ( ￣_￣||)
