I wonder why Kanbe suddenly broke up with Takahashi after his ex came, at first I thought they slept together but they did not so why? I think the reason why he did it is because Kanbe is scared. He fell in love for the first time and for a playboy like him, it is impossible and scary and it means letting go of an old habit and embracing new, it means change and change is scary. That is why when he got drunk with his ex he said why did he not just did it with 'playboys' like before so no one will get hurt. May be he is not ready for serious relationship or facing true love. He is scared. This is his first time being in love and it scared him.
