i had mine taken out even though it wasn’t bothering me. the recovery was so scary cuz it would randomly bleed a lot and i would get scared if i needed to go to the er. also uncomfortable too cuz you need to bite down on the gauze all the time.

I had one pulled out around a month ago on local anesthesia and it was honestly more than fine. The whole thing took less than 10 minutes and most of that time was waiting for the anesthesia to kick in. My tooth was not impacted, and was all the way out so it was relatively easy to pull out. I had to bite down on gauze for an hour after the procedure, and after that there was a tiny bit of blood taste in my mouth for like a day, but that was honestly it. No stitches, no pain, I was eating normally the next day, but on the the other side of my mouth of course. I took some pain killers the night of just in case any pain woke me up after the anesthesia wore off, though honestly I don't think it was necessary. in a week and a half I was basically back to normal brushing, flossing, and eating.

If anything, you need to listen to the doctor's instructions on what not to do in the first week or so after the extraction. No sucking on straws, no spitting, no smoking, no gurgling, basically nothing that creates suction in your mouth that could dislodge the blood clot that's protecting the wound and the bone.

there will be a dull throb for a couple of days as is normal when you have any wound. But if you don't think about it and busy yourself with life you won't even notice it.
