in all honesty, lucky paradise wasn’t for me. the smut was good but I could not care for the main couple’s relationship; HOWEVER, one thing I remember LOVING about lucky paradise were the scenes where HoIn would bite Chunwoo’s chin and lick his neck when it was tilted back. all that to say, I’m DEFINITELY glad to see that carry over into this manhwa hehe

I want to read Lucky Paradise but I need to ask, cause I dropped it after 6 chapters, does it have cheating involved? Cause I really want to continue reading but I hate cheating so when I thought it may have it I stopped reading.

It does, on one occasion. It's very hard for me to read fictional stories with cheating, but there are certain times where it's handled in a way that I don't get too personally triggered from it to stop reading (either when there's immediate and genuine remorse and confession or if it's some deliberately toxic plot) and Lucky Paradise was one of those for me. BUT, if any depiction of cheating is a dealbreaker for you, then yeah, it's not for you :/

It depends on your definition of cheating
The couple weren't clearly exclusively together, they were more like a situationship
The one who cheated was very dismissive of them being a real couple because of his past deep (toxic) love with his fuck buddy who they had been in love with each other for years... but yeah, they were very toxic to each other

So yeah, depending what side of the fence you sit on for the cheating limit

That's just semantics in this case, tbf. They were not exclusive, but the implication in the promise before the incident was that he'd be choosing him, sans fucking Taesoo, which for all intents and purposes would be the equivalent of cheating

Im just pointing out that its a grey zone area, where there are people who see it the way you do and thats is the definition of cheating
And then there is the flip side where people say it is cheating, but is also not. Its a lot more nuance than that.
Saying there is an implication is not a confirmed, its a potential outcome, and Hoin knew thats what Chunwoo was doing

You talk about nuance (which is literally the bit talked about), but keep bringing up "explicit confirmation" as if that should define the actual feelings and intentions of what happened. Chunwoo agreed to that promise, that's as direct an agreement in the way their communication took place in this story as it gets - at least by that point in their relationship. What constitutes as cheating for readers as individuals doesn't change how these two characters viewed and experienced it. It was cheating to them.

Oh, thank you, I will try to read it but I usually can’t deal with cheating so it’s a good thing to be warned before really getting into it
