This is well explained and I fully agree. I do think the idea of Iruma and Ameri being together isn't bad, but their relationship surely lacks a lot and that's the reason why it bothers the readers.
(No offense, I could even compare Purson and Iruma's relationship being handled better than what they have in the story so far.)
Also, I think it would be nice to see how Ameri interacts with Iruma's soulmates. It's puzzling that there isn't yet a single chapter that have shown Ameri, Clara, and Alice having a genuine interaction with one another that actually goes in depth with their dynamics. We could only anticipate the progress here since there are tons of questions to uncover aside from the relationships.

Isn’t the biggest fan of ameri x iruma
Don’t get me wrong it’s generally such a cute ship I just don’t like how it’s being handled at the moment, there’s room for improvement and I do think that it’s a ship I’ll enjoy in the future but at the moment I don’t… The relationship that Iruma Clara & Alice have is the relationship I expected Iruma and Ameri to have which is probably why I’m not the biggest fan of the Iruma x ameri just yet.
I LOVE asmodeus x iruma x Clara, I could go on and on about the reasons to why I ship the three of them together but to put it in simple terms, they all pretty much complete each other in some format and they have the best chemistry and overall relationship. I generally cannot ship just Iruma x Clara or Asmodeus x Iruma because it feels so incomplete, I also just think in general the three of them belong together, their all soulmates
